We must get ready for the exciting summer planned this year in Fiesole: in fact, the famous summer event (wich will take place here), “L’estate fiesolana”, will be the best event that Florence and sorroundings could offer to summer nights; and all located in the middle of the florentin’s hills.
The event list, prepared for us by the town of Fiesole, will be interessant and plenty of shows for all kind of people: the festival will start the 20th june and will finish the 02nd august, it will set in the historical fiesolean place, with a very fine plan.
The opening of the event is committed, to the classic music with a concert about Vivaldi, played by students of the school of music of Fiesole, and to the quartet exhibition by the cellist Natalia Gutman and its orchestra.
But the best of the “Estate Fiesolana” will begin when Max Gazzè with Nico Gori and “the Mun Floyd” , will excite us with Pinik floyd music, rending homage to one of the most famous disc of the band “The dark side of the moon”; all in the marvellous atmosphere of the roman theatre.
Always in the amphitheatre will come the songwriter Alessandro Mannarino, wich will introduce us his new work, “Supersantos”, and Giovanni Allevi, that has choose Fiesole as one of the date of his Alien World Tour”
For jazz lovers is impossible to miss the date of the 18th july with the beautiful voice of Cassandra Wilson whereas blues, swing and latin – american music, lovers couldn’t miss Nino Rota, Gianluca Petrella, Raphael Gualazzi and the Compay Segundo band, wich comes only for us from Cuba for a live in memories of a member of Buena Vista Social Club. Stefano Cantini’s quartet, with “Living Coltrane” and Charles Lloyd with its band composed by Jason Moran, Eric Harland and Reuben Rogers, will be here.
Theatre plays and lots of satire will come with Beppe Grillo and his show “Beppe Grillo is back” the 16th july, the 22th with Marco Travaglio and Isabella Ferrari with their performance titled “Anestesia Totale” and with the return of Dario Fo e Franca Rame wich tell us about the “Novelle di Boccaccio rivedute e scorrette”.
“Estate Fiesolana will end with classic music with the exhibition of the “Orchestra giovanile italiana”, the duet of Matteo Fossi and Andrea D’Amelio, the Ort with the “Souvenir Gala Concert” playing classic and popular songs for rending homage to the city of S. Petersburg in the year of Italian and Russian tongues, the Academia of Bel Canto and in the end the Chinese Opera of Kun.
