Un anno ad arte. Firenze 2010’s the exhibition’s calendar proposes from March 25th to June 27th 2010 at the Museo degli Argenti in Florence, the Medici family’s collection of Cameos and Intaglios called “Pregio e Bellezza. Cammei e intagli dei Medici”. The jewels and intaglios’ collection was the base of a rediscovery process of the past that characterized the italian Renaissance. Sice 13th century the Medici’s family has demonstrated a predilection for jewels’s intaglios and privileged this kind of art upon the other.
The exhibition will illustrate how this collection was formed during the centuries, there you can find unique pieces such as the Sigillo di Nerone.
