The Picasso, Miró and Dalí exhibition in Florence is set up as a sort of time travel: from the Picasso’s political convictions, who in the early twentieth century Madrid sympathized with the conditions of proletariat, to those of Miró, with his rejection of the figurative painting because expression of ruling classes’cultural identity; up to the technical brilliance of the young Dalí, who was expelled from the Academy in 1926 before his final exams, because in his opinion the teachers were not enough competent to examine his works.

For the original exposition, and the rarity of the works showed, “Picasso, Miró, Dalí. Angry Young Men: the Birth of Modernity” in Florence is truly an event not to be missed.
