The Women’s Theatre since 1991 dealing with contemporary drama of the scene suggest the multiple voices of women, promoting a theater designed, written and produced by women only, which covers an increasingly broad range of topics and touches genres, styles and different languages, to this theater today are undoubtedly some of the most interesting enzymes in view of new drama and new do and imagine the scene.
In the spring of 1992, the Theatre of Women organized the first conference in Florence on the dramaturgy of women: ‘Comparing Authors’, supported by the willingness of many women of Italian theater and now has passed the fifteenth edition.
In 1996 he was created the first National Centre of Dramaturgy of women with a corresponding archive easily accessible by those who want to stage a text or do a search on the contemporary drama of women. The center has operated now as a center of initiative and has worked with several structures in Tuscany and elsewhere acting within contemporary drama.
