ObiHall Theatre is a modern theater, used as a multipurpose center, is now one of the main venues for concerts. Made in the wake of the phenomenon of marquee theatre as alternative spaces to traditional opera, this new area emerged in the cultural overview thanks to its promiscuos programming.
Renovated several times in the recent years, the Theatre was affected by a radical redesign which took it to a modernization both in repertoire and building.
The planning of this theater is based on pop and rock music concerts of the major national and international artists as: Francesco De Gregori,Vasco Rossi, Pino Daniele, Renato Zero, Simply Red, Steve Vai, Gianna Nannini; but also on artists who have introduced the Afro-american music and the new trendy jazz genre to florentines. In his first months of life a programming of drama took place here and it was honored also by the presence of many VIP as Dalai Lama.
